Casual T and Blazer

Hey,

So recently I’ve been keeping my eye out for staple pieces for the A/W seasons approaching.

With the sales being on, I was browsing on Topshops clearance and came across a black loose fitted blazer that was exactly what I was looking for… even better it was reduced from £49 to just £10!

I love the gold button details and how you can wear it as a top as it wraps over when it fastens. It also features slits in the sleeve which is a great style detail, perfect if you like accessorising with bracelets and watches that you want to be visible.

There’s still sizes 8,10 and 12 in store so be sure to grab yours quickly. I’ll attach a link below.

I also fell in love with the Milan T shirt by the brand Tee and Cake in Topshop, it’s so simple yet chic and perfect for dressing up or down. It is definitely a great staple piece, especially for £18.

Sian Paris Boutique

Good Morning,

Today’s post is about my recent collaboration with Sian Paris Boutique.

You can find the boutique on Buchanan Street in Glasgow. It is positioned on the second floor of Argyll Arcade and it is such a cute space.

From cute tops, bottoms, co-ordinates, dresses, shoes and accessories … Sian’s Boutique is the perfect place to shop for something stylish and quirky.

On Wednesday, I went into the store to try on some pieces that I liked and I ended up trying on most of the things in the shop hahah! Everything is so nice.

my favourite set was a cream co-ord you can see below. The top is loose fitted and features long sleeves with slits at the side and a V neckline. The high waisted palazzo bottoms feature pleats at the front for an added style feature.

This set is £50. It would be perfect for any occasion whether your dressing the outfit up or down. It is so comfy as well which is an extra bonus!

I also fell in love with the baby pink summer dress that features ruffle details, a V neckline and a tie back.

This dress is retailing at £38 and is a complete style steal for your wardrobe. I can’t wait to take it on my next holiday … it’s so cute and would look great in the sun.

If you are in Glasgow you should definitely visit, otherwise take a look on Sian’s website that I will link you to below.

Also you can use code ‘alana10’ for 10% discount on items.

Have a great weekend,

That Pink Boutique Dress

Good Morning,

Today’s post is about my recent dress I bought from Pink Boutique for a wedding reception I was at last weekend.

I am always apprehensive about purchasing clothing online as I have had a few disasters which I am sure you can all relate to haha!

I came across the website ‘Pink Boutique’ and I couldn’t recommend the brand more. The dress I ordered looked exactly as it did online, it was also very affordable and can be worn for lots of different occasions whether your going out with friends, a family party or going to a wedding like I was.

I acessorised this look with silver jewellery with a black clutch and heels.

The dress I’m wearing can be found here, it’s a complete style steal for just £25

You can find the Kurt Gieger heels I’m wearing from the link below. They are definitely my new favourites as they give a lot of height, I love the cross over strap detail too.

The Beginning Of Spring

Hi guys,

Tonight’s post is about my favourite season of the year and yesterday’s day out with my mum to celebrate Mothers Day!

Who else is glad that Spring is finally here? Seeing the blossoms on trees and nice weather coming in is getting me so excited for the Easter Holidays! I can’t believe it’s almost April already, this year is going by so quickly.

To celebrate Mothers Day yesterday, I treated my mum to a bouncy blow dry at a new salon opened up in Glasgow, Clarkston Southside called ASH and I cannot recommend the salon enough. The place is so cute and quirky with a modern vibe and lots of rose gold details (which I am obsessed by). The hairdressers are great too and both mine and my mums hair has remained bouncy for two days! You can check out the salons Instagram at @ashprohair to see all of the lovely hairstyles they have done previously. For those of you that live nearby you should definitely go and try it out whether your going for hair, makeup or nails.

Since it was sunny, me and my mum spent the afternoon in the City and went to a bar called The Social for lunch as well as doing some shopping … we ended up buying lots of makeup instead of clothes which is unusual for us hahah!

(Sporting my bouncy blow dry) I finally got to wear my fringed jacket again since it wasnt freezing for once. This one is from Hollister. I accessorised with my Michel Kors gold chain mini cross body, Chloe sunnies and gold chain from New Look.

For once I wasn’t wearing any black which is a miracle! I opted for skinny denim jeans, a cream body suit (River Island) and brown MK sandals, accessories and jacket.

Below I have styled a similar look with all items being from River Island!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and have a good week ahead

Swatch: The Perfect Gift For Any Occasion

Good Morning,

I hope you are all well and are ready for the Christmas holidays! I am so excited! Although, I still have so much shopping and gift wrapping to do. I’m usually prepared well in advance but this year has been the total opposite. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Last month, I was approached by Swatch Switzerland to attend their new store opening event on Buchanan Street in Glasgow where I could get to learn more about the brand and choose a piece of my own, which was so exciting! When I seen the new store it looked great and it is positioned on one of the busiest places to shop in Glasgow. The store space is so open with great branding of all the different watch styles and collections they have in store. The atmosphere is so upbeat and is very inviting. The staff are so helpful and interested in the products they are selling which is always a bonus too.

The brand itself originated in Switzerland and was founded in 1983 by Nicolas Hayek. Before, I didn’t know much about the brand and now I realise that it has so much to offer with watch styles to fit everyone’s tastes as well as their products being unisex. The watches are so quirky and each has a unique story behind them, which is what makes Swatch stand out to other related brands. So much goes into the thought process of designing and creating the different watch styles that come from an initial design concept and trend, I love it.

What I didn’t realise is, that Swatch also offer sunglasses and jewelry in store too. I personally loved the sunglasses that were on offer as they matched some of the watch styles in store from the certain trends that are popular in store. As well as this you can pop out and change the lenses depending on the style and purpose they are being used for. Check these out …

You can find the link to the sunglasses below.

Whilst on the visit I was completely spoiled for choice. As I was shown round, I was told about all the concepts behind some of the watch trends, which I was amazed by. From looking at it you don’t see all the art and creative background it develops from until it’s pointed out to you.

One of the trends I was obsessed over was called ‘Look Fab’ which is a glitzy, sleek and sophisticated range of watch styles.  It is based on ‘Sun-brushed dials and glittery gold, silver, fuchsia, and ink blue styles create a collection of Swiss watches that reminds us to cherish life’s treasures.’

If you want to have a look at other trends you can have a look via this link: https://www.swatch.com/en/press/FallWinter2016/

After ages of deciding, I decided to choose the SISTEM STALAC watch that has a silver bracelet and face with Swarovski crystals embedded on the outer face. It fastens by a clasp and is non-battery powered and instead is powered by the movement of your wrist with new mechanical technology. The good thing about my new watch is that if you decide not to wear it for four days the watch will still be ticking at the appropriate time but is easy to wind up if you don’t wear it for longer than four days. (trust me if I can operate it, anyone can I am a complete technophobe!)

A video based on the mechanics of the watch can be seen via the link below:

This watch is definitely one of my favourites. I love the detailing and the bracelet makes it look really elegant contrasting with the large face.

You can shop my watch here at: http://shop.swatch.com/en_gb/collections/sistem51-irony-c111.html

I definitely recommend Swatch, especially if you are a fashion lover. The products they offer make the perfect gift so if you are like me and are still doing your Christmas shopping I would consider taking a look in a Swatch store near you or on their website that I will post a link to below.

http://shop.swatch.com/en_gb/

Currently Swatch are giving advice on what to gift a loved on by answering a few questions based on their gender and style to make it all the more easier for you.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!

Zaful: Leopard Print Shirt

Hi lovely’s

Today’s post is about the brand Zaful and their products which I am obsessing over!

Recently I have collaborated with the brand and got to choose some items and they do not disappoint. The brands clothing, shoes and accessories are so affordable which is perfect for students like myself… if you have a moment you should definitely check out their online website at:

http://www.zaful.com

I wanted to talk about the leopard print shirt in this post as it is perfect for fall and the style and features are perfect and can be mixed and matched with just about anything … what more could you want?

I decided to team this shirt with a skirt, tights and boots for a feminine look to contrast with the boxed shirt. It would be a great shirt to pair with jeans and layer with a polo underneath due to the loose fit… I will definitely be doing that since it’s been around 0 degrees here….

I love the looseness of the shirt, the style features are so feminine with the V neckline and open shirt collar yet it still has a masculine twist due to the boxed fit and long fastened sleeves. It’s also really soft as it is made from cotton. Usually I find them quite stiff at first until you’ve worn them a few times but this one is super comfy!

What I loved most was the tailored contrast leopard print pocket which gives the plain shirt an edgy vibe.

You can shop this shirt via the link below:

I hope I’ve inspired you to invest in a shirt like this one … they are so stylish and comfy!
